Ventora Medical Wins ACTI/HiMed and BridgeTech Program Awards

Ventora Medical’s co-founders have visited key overseas markets this month after winning the ACTI/HiMed Shanghai Healthcare Competition Gold Prize and the BridgeTech Program PitchTech Award.

BridgeTech Program

After winning the BridgeTech Program’s pitch competition, Ventora Medical's CEO Edward Buijs received a travel scholarship to attend the 2019 Global AdvaMed MedTech Conference in Boston, USA. Travelling as a member of the MTPConnect Australian Delegation, Edward was able to attend the Paediatric Device Symposium, discuss the shift toward value-based healthcare and make strategic connections with clinicians, incubators and US service providers.

ACTI/HiMed’s Shanghai Healthcare Competition

Ventora Medical also recently won the Gold Prize at ACTI/HiMed’s Shanghai Healthcare competition, which took CTO Amy Yu on a sponsored trip to Shanghai to visit HiMed’s Accelerator and Innovation Centre to take part in HiMed’s BioDesign Bootcamp.

During the three day program, Amy participated in several investor pitch events, discussed medical device commercialisation in China and visited a number of potential manufacturers.

Ventora Medical would like to thank MTPConnect, Queensland University of Technology, HiMed International Innovation Centre and the Australia China Technology Incubator for their support of these programs.
